1. How often did you work on your project over the past three weeks? Be very specific here. Keep accurate records, perhaps in a chart. How long did you work on it EVERY time you worked on it? Add up all the minutes and provide a total time and number of hours per week.

I read my book every night before bed for a half hour.  I started doing this as soon as I got the passion project but here is the most recent weeks… (there are 10 chapters-I have read 1-7 with 8-9-10 left)

2. What did you do on your project? Specifically what did you accomplish? What was your focus?

My focus was to gain an understanding of money so that I can understand how Bitcoin works and fits into the role of money.

I learned/accomplished an understanding of properties of money ie. stock to flow (existing supply and future supply) and saleability- which means money money is can be carried easily and is an accepted unit of account, and is divisible into smaller units and holds its value over time. I learned that hard money (can’t be inflated) is sound money and humans flourish when money is sound.

3. What was your biggest WIN? What did you successfully accomplish?

* I looked up who Michael Saylor was, since he wrote the Foreward in the book.  My biggest win was learning that he has an online university with free online courses.  He believes education should be free for anyone willing to learn.  I just thought it was a good resource to know about.

* I also, accomplished reading and summarizing Chapters 1 to 3 on the properties of money. I read further to Chapter 7, however, I did not make notes on those chapters.  Those chapters really go into the history of money (like how the gold standard was suspended in the First World War and then governments overspent and then we had the Great Depression….etc).  I would like to summarize from Chapter 8 on because those Chapters finally get to Bitcoin content which I really am most interested in.

* I learned gold can possibly be synthetically made now (my Dad told me because he read about it) I thought it was interesting because in the book the author talks about how technology can disrupt existing forms of money -so this was relevant. What would this mean for Gold as a a store of value if we can just make more? (Stock to flow- the flow-future supply- might not be hard to get anymore so may become less valuable).

4. What was your biggest struggle/ challenge?

(1. I am on some medication right now that makes me tired and it is hard to focus and taking me a lot longer to things.)

2. The chapters although relevant to the importance of bitcoin, are honestly a bit boring and I want to get to learning the bitcoin part. So I felt a bit frustrated by learning about money when I want to learn about bitcoin but I get they are interconnected topics.

5. What are your next steps, or goals for the next few weeks?

My next steps are to read and summarize Chapters 8-10 about Bitcoin and update my website.

My final goal is to set up a bitcoin wallet and put the steps for setting up the wallet on the website.  I think making this wallet will be a final accomplishment and a good place to stop.
